so, bands that i am really into right now that i didn't think i would be:
devo
modern english
bauhaus
cat stevens
you might know modern english from their 80s hit, "I melt with you." the rest of the cd is actually really amazing, unlike other one-hit-wonders. devo is just odd, but also brilliant, kind of like joel storie. bauhaus is "the original goth band" but not in an awful way. actually, in the coolest way possible, and the guy's super low voice and just atmospheric early 80s sound, much like joy division's, just all works really well. and ol' cat stevens is a dude who's voice and certain songs bothered me at first, but now i really like it. and Harold and Maude really sold me on him.
