so i drove into the woods and wandered aimlessly about...

today i went to a coffee house reccomended to my by leah miller's roommate, megan. we met a few days ago and informed me that she was leaving her job. she said that i should go apply. so, i went and got a latte and talked to sandy. she asked me a few questions and told me to bring her my resume.

so i sat sipping my latte and reading national geographic. i read a lot about CO2 emissions and this whole story about a husband and wife trying to cut their output by 80% and how hard it was. things like central heating and driving are really the biggest problems in our society. i read this making mental notes on what i should change to at least help in my small way.

after i finished my latte, i said goodbye to sandy and said i'd bring back my resume. i hope she liked me. i had my holga with me and i've been shooting my very first roll of medium format 120 film. i'd really been wanting to get a cool landscape shot of the mountains, which is hard living south of downtown, and in that instant i started driving west.

at first i felt odd, because i just started driving on a whim, with no ending point. i was just going to stop when i found a good spot to get a shot. i also kept thinking about how my random road trip without a certain end was not very emissions friendly. nevertheless, i drove and drove, and stopped in what i found out later was Golden, CO. I drove along the mountain range and stopped just on the outside of a large, empty, nature preserve. i snapped off 2 shots, and then started driving home.

i hit rush hour traffic on the way home, but then i finished off the roll of film and dropped it off. hopefully i'll have some stuff to post here.

love,
anthony
